With an increasing middle-class population, changing spending patterns, high mobile penetration rate and the emerging trend of online shopping, Nigeria seems to be a land of ample opportunities for card product providers. This transformation has offered a unique opportunity for startups.
Our client being a start-up established in 2012 wanted to harness this opportunity by innovating on the traditional recharge system in order to broaden the access of services to the underserved population.

Solution

Through our Prepaid Recharge solution suite consisting Products e-Topup, e-Voucher , Voucher Management System we were able to meet their requirements and were able to implement a customer-centric model that truly addresses the customers need to access multiple services. We developed a Prepaid recharge card which can be used to recharge multiple services both online and via a common voucher ‘scratch card’. Our card supports the completion of a transaction through various channels such as USSD, Web & App. Currently, the system is hosted in India and is managed by Estel technologies.

The Estel Solution helped our client expand its portfolio by offering a number of services to its customers both online and through a single Prepaid recharge card, facilitating easier payments and the seamless execution of customers’ transactions in a cost-effective manner making it highly successful in Nigeria.
